That's nothing. A law firm here in Michigan lost over $2 MILLION when one of their employees fell for the scam. Apparently, the banks could care less about watching out for their customer's money. In this case, the employee had a limit on how big of a transfer she could make, but the bank didn't bat an eye when she started transferring hundreds of thousands of dollars overseas. Note that this was a trust account, so much of the money actually belonged to clients of the law firm. The last I heard, the law firm was suing the bank for restitution.
