There are a lot of older tractors that can have belly mowers on them like the cub farmalls, the Allis b,c, even some of the old JDs and if you don't mind doing a little work on them they can be fun to restore and even work and if you look around you should be able to find one for less then you pay for a rideing lawn mower. Cubs sell for $1000 up to around $3000 inworking order in my area and are good little tractors and even if you would want to resale them you could get you money back
