Like George says, your 12V pos ground 850 with generator should be changed, too. Finding a pos ground alternator for the 860 can be done, but then you have two oddballs instead of just one. Do the neg ground on the 860, and consider a neg ground regulator from a X01 diesel for the 850. Swap the ammeter leads, install and polarize the neg ground VR, and go.
