I've got Ford 3000 diesel and like it a lot. Last year I hooked up a flat rack wagon with sides and got some compost at the local landfill. I netted 6000 lbs. and the tractor only weighs about 4000 but it pulled it up a hill (not real steep) and home about 10 miles. I needed lots of braking room as the load was a little too heavy for safety, but the tractor has lots of guts. I think the gas would probably be OK too.
My PTO is tough to engage and I have a leak in the rear main but as far as running....its real good. I paid around $7200 a few years ago. I live in southern Ontario.
