Have you tried disassembling the TA and replacing the worn parts or just replacing the complete assemly with a rebuilt one? An old friend of mine (now deceased) was an IH mechanic for about thirty years and used to repair TA's all the time. He did a lot of MTA's,400,450, and 560's and sometimes it did not take a lot to fix one if it hadn't been let go too long. Have you tried the salvage yards? Some times they will get one with a good TA.
