Hydraulic lift-1964 4000 Ford

Is there a filter in the hydraulic system of this tractor? When the tractor is cold, I have to rev the engine up and wait a minute for the lift to pick up the first time. After that,it works fine. This tractor is 40 years old and I'm sure the oil has never been changed in the lift.
