Depends on what you are doing with one. A 2 1/2 ton is easier to turn and get around with but won't have as much power or carry as much load. We have two 5 tons for fire trucks and they can carry the water & equipment load we need but are still lacking power and speed. They won't turn on dime but will go just about anywhere over rough terrain which will tear up most normal trucks. They also made some 10 ton wreckers and tractor-semis but most of these have the larger tires and are really hard to get around with and very slow on the road. Many of the 10 tons were equipped with larger engines though like the 400 big cam Cummins and some are Macks or International. You can find a lot of links to look at here:
