My dad (1898-1996) made a twin John Deere D setup in the 1930s or 1940s. He used the set up to pull two one-ways in western Kansas.

I think he took the front axle out from under the rear tractor and set it on the draw bar of the lead tractor.

How he handled the control set up I don't know.

I think that there might be a photo of the rig in an album. My brother is caretaker of them and lives quite a distance away, meaning I won't be able to look for awhile.

He took a "Farmers Short Course" at K-State in 1921 or 1922, so he may have learned the rigging there.
