While massey and ferguson merged in 1955 it took them a couple of years to work out the kinks. They each built there own brand during this time. Then in 1957-1958 the merger was final. The tractor you have started out as a FE35 (ferguson england)in 1956. Changed to MF35 in 1957 at serial# 74656 and the color change from gold/grey to red/gray at this #. most still referred to it as a FE35 to distinguish that it was built in england and not to confuse with the US built MF35. US is built in inches yours is MM. If you ever rebuild make sure you check differance.
