buying on ytmag

What is the most common way to buy stuff on ytmag? In the past, I've purchased tractors and implements and have paid on delivery. Tried to buy something this week and the guy wanted all the money up front. I explained to the fellow I have been burned this way in the past, but he wouldn't budge and he was quite rude about it too. Needless to say, I didn't buy his stuff.
