Don't know the need for a wiring diagram to convert original 6 Volt to 12 volt. I just replaced the 6 volt generator with a 12 volt Delco alternator with internal regulator that only needs a single wire out plus an field excitation via a switch or through a instrument panel light. Then, you need a step down resistor or what is called a balance resistor to cut the voltage to the distributor at run to 6 -9 volts or the contact points will burn. And of course if you have lights, you have to change the bulbs to 12 volt. There's no real need to rewire, only rebulb and add the alternator and the balance resistor that's available for cars without solid state ignition.
