While using a crosscut saw, Dad seemed to chant, "pull don't push". About 5 years ago at a local fair, a classmate and I won the over 50 division and our time was the fastest overall, cutting a medallion off a log with a crosscut saw. Them younger fellahs wanted to know how'd a pair of old farts beat 'em. Works when supervising others at the job, too. ;-)
