my Dad made an "electric worm diggerupper" back in the "60"s for us kids out of an old crank telephone. The two wires coming out of it went to a couple of brass 1/8th rods about 24" long, that you would stick in the ground. Then just crank away, like you were calling Mabel down the street....Presto ...worms come out of the ground like there was no tommorow....Works best after a rain....Had alot more fun w/ that than it was designed for...but that's another story for later.....
