Normal charges for hauling is $1.00 to $1.25 per loaded mile. I have seen people haul backhauls for $.80 a mile just to get the load and not run empty half the time.
Now you have to decide. Do you charge him the back haul price or do you charge your self the back haul price. Do you cut the price to him just to make sure he does not go get some one else.
This is a question asked by trucking companys for longer than I can remember and farther than I can dream.
This haul you are doing for him is worth every penny of $1.00 a mile I repeat worth every penny. What if he is not on time what then.
YOU HAVE TO DECIDE. For me it is $1.00 a loaded mile or get some one else.
