I assume you mean the output shaft, 540 only. You'll have to pull the lift rocker, and the right hand axle, to get access from in front to get the driven gear off. Then take the bearing retainer off and pull the shaft. Drive shaft will pull out from access cover forward of top link rocker. If you have 540/1000, just pop the circlip, and haul the stub out. Be sure to block and support the tractor well when you go to take the axle off. Probably need a little crane or boom to lift the axle, or a few real strong bodies. I'm thinking 500#, give or take. Hope this helps you out.
