YES MAY BE A BAD COIL! A COIL WILL SHUT DOWN YOUR MOTOR AND MAKE IT HARD TO START. YOURS MAY BE IN BEGINNING STAGES. IF IT IS STILL 6 VOLT MAY BE COIL IS BREAKING DOWN ENOUGH WHEN HOT AN DRAW OF STARTER MAY BE TO MUCH TO FIRE WEAK COIL.
GO TO THE "N" BOARD AND ASK "DELL" YOUR QUESTION. HE IS VERY GOOD WITH THAT ELEC. STUFF ON A "N".
