TFD&THD engines used in baler applications often were fitted w/a"high temperature safety switch kit" due to the hot dusty environment they were used in.This consisted of a sensor switch that attached under a headbolt,with a wire to the magneto.If engine became too hot,switch closed and grounded magneto.Check for this switch and make sure all shrouding is clear of chaff and crud,and proper oil is being used(30W).
