I start all my auctions with a price I can live with and the first bid means its sold. Some of my stuff never sold when I used a reserve price. It would come within $50-100 of my reserve and stop. I would contact the highest bidder and offer it to them for their bid, no takers. I think some people bid just to play games.I think reserve and buy it now are jokes. If some has a buy it now for $3500 your not going to get for $500 and why have a reserve price if you tell everybody what it is. I think some of the theory of reserve is when you start it at $10 the people go into a feeding frenzy or they figure its their item and are going to keep bidding till you get rich.
