Back in the 60s, I took a 10 yr. old 6v out of my grandpa`s old 53 chevy and used it for 3 more years in a dune buggy I made from a VW. Bought a new 84 Toyota 4x4 and traded it in on a new 91 Dodge Cummins. Still had the Jap battery in it and 176,000 miles on it. Had a riding mower battery go 5.5 years one time.
