Brian, Be creative! Depending on when this land comes out of CRP shred of short. Then plant winter wheat or oats. Use a no-till drill to plant it. Then fertlize. Take in cattle on the gain, or cut a grain crop in the spring. Or cut a small grain hay crop. Then summer grass hay and the circle starts over again. You will need to plant +- 100/120 lbs / acre to graze. Check with local feed stores about need /want for grass hay. Contractors for erosion control hay that is used along the roadways. Hope this helps!! John A.
