Yes they did. 800,000+ of the 9/2/8N's alone. Ford built a lot of them because people bought a lot of them. There's no way to tell of course, but it's estimated that half are still running, many without major rebuilds. If a 9N was sold in 1939, and is still running today, if you give it only an average useage of 1 hour a day, that's still over 23,000 hours of service. Not bad.
