I have a 36V battery on my forklift, the top of the battery had alot of acid build up. I cleaned it off and sprayed a terminal protector on it. When I opened the cell caps the fluid was below the plate tops and the battery needed charging. Are you saying that I should add some electrolyte and not just water? I know there is a proper way to handle these batteries and with the cost of replacements I'd like to get all the life I can out of this one. Any advise you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
