It's a common problem on the hundred series Fords. Inside
the fuel tank at the drain, there is a filter that gets clogged
up after a few years. That, plus the closeness of the fuel
line to the engine causes vapor lock and stops gas flow. You can buy replacement filters at the Ford parts dealers,
either local or online. You might want to check the inside
of the tank for rust too. If there is a bunch, the new filter
won't last long either.
