Need answer about operating a loader

I have an AC WC with a loader. The tractor has been sitting for a while. I should have it running this weekend. It has a loader on it and I know nothing about operating a loader. The loader has about a 5 gal tank on it with hydraulic type line coming out of it and I need to know what type fluid goes in the tank. Someone told me it should have regular motor oil in it, but that is a lot of motor oil. Is that correct? Any additional information will also be appreciated.
