cathy, first off ether is bad on any diesel or gas engine causes the rings to collapse and or detonate a piston if used too much. 1st put on a new fuel filter make sure it is full then turning over the engine crack the fuel line coming in to the fuel filter do the same on the outlet side then go to the injector pump still turning over the engine crack the line from the filter to the pump now you go to the injector lines if you know the fireing order crack #1 and so on then do the same at the injectors may have to do this a couple of times make sure all fittings are tight, some injectors and injector pumps have seales on the lines if you are still drawing air check all the lines and pump and injectors for seals some are like a copper ferrel and some are rubber o rings when trying to start I use w-d 40 hope this helps.........Jer
