Cathy, I don't have a 190 XT; my friend and his dad did, but it was several years ago. I do have a 175 AC that is very hard to start after breaking the fuel lines. Can a 190 be pulled and started? My dealer told me to always start mine this way after breaking the fuel system. Crack open the front injector and let all the air be forced out after it gets cranked. It is a little messy, but it runs the air on out. Another alternative is to use ether to start it and keep it running till the air goes out the front injector-line connection. Never use ether on a hot engine. I hope this helps you to get her going.
