I would think that a single torque arm that keeps the pump from rotating would put a tremendous side load on everything with an extended shaft. A solid mount with a drive shaft with two u-joints would probably be safer. Another way would be to go with a mount which would be two arms on a swinging shaft where the arms are on opposite sides of the pump so as one side lifts, the other side pushes or pulls down so the net force on the shaft other than twist is zero. I used the swinging shaft for the front of the crankshaft pump on my Case SC. It seems to do very well, and the pump is big enough to kill the tractor with extended use at full pressure.
