I grew up on the farm with a Farmall M with a narrow front. Here in southern IN small farms were the norm and many of the neighbors who had wide fronts had difficulty maneuvering these tractors. I see so many of these old tractors, which have now been restored, but the old weld marks are abundant. They are hard to hide.

Today, farms are larger and tractors with wide fronts probably have the advantage.
