My father had a Montgomery Wards 16" belt powered hammer mill. It had several different screens. When I was growing up, I shoveled many tons of corn and oats thru it. We usually powered it with an AC WD, or an AC D17. In earlier years they ran it with a John Deere "B", which didn't really have enough power to operate it to its full capacity. The WD ran it fine, and the D17 "toyed" with it. It was sure a dusty job.
