Another Trailer question...

On the air line supply for the trailer tank. there is no valve there, and when I park the trailer (still connected to the truck), the air tank drains out through my trailer valve in the truck. Is this a bad thing, or just an irritant (meaning I have to again wait for the trailer tank to fill and release the maxi's).
