im no electrical guru and have run into some wiered problems with trailes so my advice is free it appears you have 2 circuits connecting possibly through the trailer i would continuity test the truck plug and see if there was any double circuits or backfeed (ie turn signal post comes on when headlights are on ) also look at backup light safty bussers etc good luck
