Trailer Electrical Question/Problem

I just picked up a 24ft (15t) trailer
to pull behind my 5yd Dump Truck. All lights work correctly, brakes, markers, etc.. But.. For some weird reason, if I turn on the
markers/running lights, the marker lights
will no longer shut off. (both truck AND
trailer). If I disconnect the trailer (electrical) they
go out, and stay out. But all I have to do is reconnect trailer, turn
on headlamps, and markers will stay on, even
after turning lights and/or ignition off. Thoughts? This ones weird...
