We had a 1965 or 1966 CJ5 Jeep with a PTO on the back. It was 540 RPM in first gear with the 3-speed transmission. We used it through most of one winter to run the grinder-mixer when we had tractor troubles. I think it did about the same as a 40 HP tractor with the factory 4 cylinder. Running full throttle at a standstill it ran plenty warm but not overheating during the winter. I think it started to have heating problems when it got up into the 50's that spring.
