New tires will have somewhere between 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches of bar height depending on type and maker. 75% tires would have 7/8 and 1 1/8 inches left. I changed tires on my JD 4960 after 11 years and they were probably at 40%. Actually tractor tires supposedly provide the most pulling power at about the 60% point (all the wiggle in the traction bars is gone)
