I would recommend the MF-135 Diesel, and specially if it is an English model, 8-speed transmission with power steering. In both cases, drive and test tractors before purchasing. I own a Ford 4400, gas and Select-O-Speed(SOS) transmission;I have never been able to fix the governor problem. For the Ford product, I would prefer in order, a Diesel 3400/8 speed transmission, a Diesel 3400/SOS, a gas 3400/8 speed and finally a gas 3400/SOS. I do not have the expertise to recommend which one is the best between a Ford 3400 Diesel/8 speed transmission and a MF 135 Diesel, 8 speed; let the expert of the board give their recommendations. Just my 2 cents, rlach
