Yep, if he's in that end of the state, it's well worth taking a couple of days to see Ash Hollow, Chimney Rock, Scottsbluff National Monument, the Wildcat Hills and everything else. I would have to say that Fort Robinson is one of the most beautiful areas of the entire state. My FFA chaper went up there to plant trees after the big fire in the late 80s. I can't get enough of that place. The museum you mentioned at Gering. Is that right along the highway east of town? I can't remember the highway number, but I'm sure I've seen what you're talking about. You're absolutely right about the state. Those that just fly through on I-80 have no idea of how much they're missing. They want to think of Nebraska as plain and flat, when in fact it's probably one of the most geologically diverse states there is.
