JD 520 - Gasoline in Engine Oil

I have a John Deere 520, and the engine oil becomes saturated with gasoline very rapidly. I'm talking alot. After I change the oil, I would estimate that about 5 hours of use will result in the dipstick showing an additional 2 or three quarts. And the oil is very thin, and smells like gasoline. Any ideas what might be going on here??
