Big ends usually wear quicker but that's because of the loading they have on them and has nothing to do with "travel". Think we need to define what's meant by travel. RPM is identical but distance rolled is dependant on bearing circumference. (Which is also why small diameter tyres wear out faster than large ones.) Also, the bigger the diameter of the bearing, the faster the bearing surfaces will travel relative to one another for any given RPM. So if big ends have a bigger diameter than mains, the surfaces will be travelling faster even although the RPM is the same. -- probably. I'm getting confused now too.
