Sounds like worn rings and maybe carb too rich. Hotter plugs,one step up from what you have in now will help. Thicker oil may help. Does it need the oil topped pff a lot? It needs to be worked hard-do you run it at its rated RPM or less? Please explain "bathing" the engine using synthetics? What weight oil is specified in the manual? Using a hotter plug to burn off deposits from worn rings is common-and will work until the need for overhaul is too great. Is the carburetor in proper adjustment? HB
