i'm not defending JD or any bad dealer, my JD man is and always has been a good dealer to me. the JD dealer in the town i work in (one state away from my dealer) is also a good dealer. my newest tractor is a mf and its the hardest tractor to get parts for (i consider him not a good dealer). i think its bad form and bad faith not to support the equipment you build and sell. Whats the law on this? seems someone told me that only 5 years support of a product was required. and that could be through a third party. i have a brother in law that purchased a new JD lawn mower, nothing but troble from day one. that dealer nor the company would do anything for him. i could not believe they would not! its too bad because he has purchased many thousands of dollars of equipment since then, but none of it JD. its short sighted.
