I think that you must have a dealer problem.
I have a 1936 BO that I am restoring and the dealer in my old location, Riverside California, was more then helpfull. I would tell the parts guy that there was no hurry and the part would show up the next day.
If Deere didn't have it he would use their on line finder and print off the list of dealers that had it in stock. Can't beat that =:-)
I now live on a farm in Missouri and have my BO and a newer Deere tractor, 5510. My local dealer here in Lockwood Missouri is outstanding to say the least.
My Deere salesman is more than out standing. He is concerned when I have a problem and takes care of it.
So I would recomend that you fire off a letter to Deere and complain about your service.
