massey harris 30 smokin son of a gun......

I purchased a massey 30,
and it smokes like my old intl 856 dsl,
the man i purchased from said the valves
were new,the head was done.and i got that way from no use for several years.
the tractor keeps good oil presure
doesnt foul plugs. i use it on my spreader
daily. the ol rings must be stuck.....
anyone out there know a cure for this????
do not want to rebuild till winter!.....
