If the tractor was left setting for quite some time, the filter in the bottom is probably stopped up. If you didn't run it too long with this problem, the hydraulic pump is probably not damaged. If so, get ready to buy a new pump. SHOP AROUND. I bought one for a friend last fall for $200.00 less than his first price. The one I worked on was a 995, but, they should be similar (maybe not) It had a "cap" under it that collected ALL of the trash. It had been left outside with bad shifter boots. I replaced these boots with "fitall" rack and pinion boots from Auto Zone. Probably better than the originals.
