I recently inherited this tractor with a house/property we recently purchased. I beleive it is a David Brown 880, but I'm not certain. After reading some of the posts here, I think I can now find the serial number on it to find out exactly what it is. The tractor runs great but, last winter while plowing/grading some snow I started the tractor, tried to raise the 3 pt. hitch. The grader came up very slowly....after lowering it to start plowing I couldn't get it to raise until about 15 minutes later when it suddenly raised quickly. It worked perfectly for about 3 minutes and hasn't worked at all since then. What do you think the problem might be? Thanks in advance for any replies. Jim I have pictures of it if that might help.
