Years ago I took a 3 day course, sponsered by "REESE HITCHES".....they say that on large heavy trailers that 15% of the total loaded weight should be on the hitch.....medium weight, about 12% light wt.like boats and pop-up campers 10%.....I would weigh the total materials that will make up the trailer......I would guess your trailer to be in the heavy range.....If you are interested in talking more about this adjustment e-mail or call me....if you call make it late, around 9 or 10 PM..EST.....Don
