Phil is right: I was mowing with a 7' bush hog on a IH 400, when I got to a section of my fathers farm that had some 'moderately' steep hills. The tractor has wheel weights, and rear wheel are set as wide as possible. I gave it a little throttle while running on the hill, and had the darn thing swing downhill even as I was steering up hill! And when the front bit in again with the front wheels pointed up hill....well, lets just say it was an interesting couple of seconds for awhile. I think utility style tractors are the only reasonably save way to mow hills with a bush hog.
