I would think 50 hp would handle a 7 ft cutter very well. Your comment about narrow wheel width and HILLY terrain causes me some concern. Running on flat ground with a heavy bush hog is one thing, running on hilly terrain with the same cutter is entirely something else. With the kind of weight on the rear of the tractor the hills can make the tractor do some unexpected and scary things. I have a 50 hp MF 255D with a Ford 6 ft. cutter and it does a wonderful job, but as heavy as the tractor is and with that cutter hills can get just a little too steep. Good luck.
