You got a deal no matter what. Was the seller up-front about the cracked whatever? Maybe it isn't cracked at all---some people are not above "talking things up" in order to get a better deal. Anyway, 60's do have a problem with head cracks extending through the exhaust seat. That would explain why you can't tell anything----as long as the engine is cold. You'll smell the antifreeze right away in the exhaust if that's where it's coming from. If it's that minor, I'd first try a couple cans of KW Block Sealer---BEST STUFF EVER. Thoroughly flush the antifreeze out of the system-fill with clear water-add KW and let 'er rip for a while. $16-$18 worth of KW might save you a LOT of work!! Craig
BTW: Narrow or wide front?? (for $800 I think I know the answer)
