The Int 2400 was offered as a construction type tractor with a heavy front loaderand heavy front axle. It was made in Louisville,Ky. from the mid 60's to late 70's in bothe gas and diesel as a tractor, tractor loader, and tractor loader backhoe. It was made on the same factory line as it comparable farm unit the Int 474. using the same engine, drive, transmission, and rear drive. It has approx. 46 PTO HP and should pull 2 bottoms anywhere and 3 in most conditions, should handle 6 ft bush hog in most mowing conditios. These tractors were offered as the 'A' series and later the 'B' The drawback for a farming operation is the drawbar height and wheel spacing are limited due to the HD front axle and limited adjustable rear wheels. With time and money the front axle and rear wheels could be replaced with those of the Int 474 to achive the extra ground clearance, and adjustment. Part should be readly available from your local Case/IH dealer. Most of the drive train parts from the water pump to the PTO shaft are the same as the Int474 and can be found in that parts book. The radiator, frame, axles, wheels, loader, loader backhoe can be found in the Int2400 parts books. As a matter of reference, this tractor loader unit sold new for about $7,500 fob factory. Have noidea what value thi unit would have today. Good luck GEJ
