Leaving a record

Are you keeping some kind of journal, diary or written record of your experiences? I see a lot of questions posted that were common knowledge in my generation. My mother was born in a sod house, motherless at 12 and cooked in a cook car for a threshing crew when she was 14 - how I wish she had written her experiences down. Written journals can let future generations know what it was really like in our generations. As soon as I retired, I wrote my memories for future generations of our family and friends to see. Nothing fancy, just tell it like you experienced it.
